Well that 4thgen has the 3.4. Which has 160hp. Compared to your 140hp? And 4thgen's weigh more, so I'd say it could be close.

but remember peak hp isn't always the factor in who will win or which car is faster

you also need to consider during how much of the rpm band they are making that power and if the gearing will keep them in the powerband the whole time

if you only make power for 500 rpms then it just drops off that is going to do you nothing
though if you can make less power but make it for 2000 rpms then you are going to be doing a lot better being that the whole time you are in each gear you are going to be putting power to the ground

what about the 01 3.8's, those are ratted at 200-220 hp.
those keep up w/ gt's.
Friend has a 95 5.0 and i waxed his *** through 3rd and then he caught me.

3.8's are the fast ones. They can probably take a lot of v8 3rd gens.

4TH Gen: 93 3.4 v6 coupe
Horsepower: 160 @4600rpm
Torque: 200 @3600rpm
weight: 3,241 lbs
.04 hp to weight

depends on gearing and of corse how bad that loose nut behind the wheel is...
