Washing engine bay
my engine bay looks like total *** guys. what should i use to clean it? will a simple garden hose with a spray gun on the end be too much force? also what about detailing it? i want to enter some car shows this summer and want to look really nice.

Engine: Pos 2.8 pulled and replaced with a 350 tpi motor converted to carb.
Transmission: 700r4, vette servo,shift kit, hayden 15"x8" trans cooler.
oven cleaner. Even the cheap dollar store brand works very good.
