IROC's and BFG DR's.

Got some new rubber for the wheels. They've already made about 9 passes this last Sunday. They really like to get heated up before they will stick very good, or its probably just our lame track here.

How do you like the polished wheel? I still havent painted it yet, its the last one though. The shine is still holding up after nearly 2 years now. Whatcha think?

Oh, and some new racing seats, right. Came out of a 97 Camaro, they're about the only thing looking good in the interior.

I knew I'd get some crap for the no shifter thing, but its just one of the items on the long list of things to do.

I'm not really sure how much the DR's helped, since last Sunday was the first time the track was open since October. I've added a new carb, headers, shocks and struts, pulled some of the interior, and so on. I was kinda experimenting with the DR's to see what they liked, and I found that when I did about a 6-7sec. burnout they hooked the best. I pulled several 2.0X 60ft's with them though, got so close to some 1.9X but no dice. We'll see this coming Sunday. Best I could run was 9.4 (1/8th), but I think I got the new carb in order, so maybe I'll break into the 8's.

Also, stall converter is on order. That should help some 60ft's. And a new shifter.

The DR's are I believe the only size that BFG makes for a 16 in. wheel, which is 255/50/16. But I could be wrong, I've just never seen another size advertised.

Oh, the intereior, its not even worth cleaning up. It needs a new dash, center console, steering wheel, carpet, etc. I'll just clean the new parts before I put them in, then trash the old ones. This car is only seeing road time when I go to the track, which is about 5 miles down the road. It'll be a while before its really road worthy, but I'm working on it.
