<3 I appreciate it

I started this thread not intending to be working 55 hours a week and dealing with school at the same time. I understand that some may be frustraited, but some things do come first.

EDIT: And when I do complete it, expect it to be good.. not like something done in 3 hours.

Hi All,

I just wanted to let you know that the video is done and I will be posting it in the next couple of days. It just needs some finishing touches and it should be all set.

Again, I have work and graduation parties for the next few days, so you will probably see it around Wednesday or so.

Video is Done!

Okay guys, the video is officially done. I spent the last week sorting through old video's and screwing around trying to make everything work. And yes, I am aware of how much Movie Maker sucks, but it did the job this time.

I was not able to use nearly all of the video that I received over the past few months because of both length and quality. So don't be upset if you didn't get in on this one. I tried to be fair and only put in the best quality and most interesting clips that I had.

I checked and double checked everyone's names... I really hope that I got them all right.

If anyone wants to encode this in another format for me, I would be forever grateful.

Let me know what you think.

How big is the video? I can host up to 100megs, and give downloads of 200kb/sec or so no problem.

I'm downloading it slowly right now, but when I have it I'll upload and give you the mirror link.

*edit: NM I see its 51 megs, that should be no problem for me to host. I'll just have to live with the download speed of 8kb/sec for now.....

I have to leave for work before the download will finish, so I don't think I'll be able to get the mirror up for another 6 hours or so. When I get home tonight I'll start the upload, provide the link, and the ETA for the upload.

Took me 3 hours but I watched. Choppy but I watched it. Very Cool!!! :hail: I think tomorow I'm going to go to my neighbors and see if they will let my use there computer to download it with. They got broadband, it'll take like 5 minutes. Beats a 3 hour download with my 56k.

If the first link is too slow, try using one of the other two that we posted yesterday. Those should help out download times a lot.

I tried the second link first but it stopped at 6mb. So I tried the first one, this was before the third link was posted. I'll try the third.

Not only that, I'm the one hosting it so yeah, it should work. ^_^

Oh yeah! My car made it in. Woohoo! I just wish I could have given you a better run! Thankfully the old motor is GONE!!!!

Hi Guys-

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I just wanted to let you know that both compilation videos are now posted on youtube for your viewing pleasure.

Either do a search for my user on youtube (DigitalMonarch) or do a search for bitchin camaro. It should come up. I'm at work now, or I would post a link.

Thanks!

Thats cool but can you make them downloadable from somewhere else possibly? The quality on youtube videos kind of sucks.

Maybe even get thirdgen.org to host them?

UPDATE:

Here are links to the YouTube posts:

Bitchin' Camaro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyHEYjaqbfo

2004 Video Contest Submission: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKVm9VNc-UU

I will work on trying to find hosting for the full resolution versions of the video. Can any of the mods find out if it would be possible to host it here?

Can anyone else out there provide some free hosting?

I've offered multiple times to host videos ;-)

If you want a full blown WMV or QT file then you will need to send it to me via FTP.

If you want it streaming like Youtube but at higher quality then I have a video site for that...

http://www.fbodymovies.com/help.php (The help page explains that you need to use a converter to convert your file to "FLV", when you upload a FLV directly you get to pick the quality instead of the server using the default. However you can try it at default first cause that quality is pretty darn good too)

If you want to send me the full versions I can drop em in my video DB on austinthirdgen.org and post the links here for ya. Just ftp.austinthirdgen.org (login/pass is: upload1234/atgo123)

Let me know if you need more help.

Either do a search for my user on youtube (DigitalMonarch) or do a search for bitchin camaro. It should come up. I'm at work now, or I would post a link.

Thanks!
digtalmonarch, I saw a post you made like a couple of days ago, and I saw the pic of your car in your sig and I wanted to see more but didn't want to post to ask, but now I see you again and the rear pic of your car, and I'm real curious to see more pics of it, it looks amazing. So do you have a site or anyway you can pm me some of email me?
Thanks john

Hey John, thanks for the comments, I appreciate it. The funny part is that the car looks orange in most of these photos, when in reality it's a vibrant red. There are a few more here: http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p.../Kodak%202005/

So as not to get this thread off topic, PM me if you have any questions, or want to talk more.

Hey man, I forgot all about your offer to host. I should have gone back and reread this thread before asking the question. I should probably hook up with you to give you the full versions, this way there are no quality issues. You mentioned FTP?
