Bulletproof Glass
I remember someone suggesting to hide a switch to stop the fuel pump from feeding the fuel rails. Seems simple and effective enough.
edit: nm, you don't want people to break in in the first place.

Seriously. I would not live somewhere that I felt I needed protection from gunshots.
How about just welding steel plating all around the car and cut little slivers to see out of.
There comes a point were you have done what you can do, and then you just roll the dice and take a chance. NOTHING is perfectly safe, don't destroy all the time money and effort you've put into that car just to turn it into a "rolling fortress".

It doesnt get much more simple than that! I used to drive an armored car and I can tell you, when you have a reason to be bullet proof, do it. I dont think this merits bullet proof! If your that concerned about it you need to also keep moving to a new location as a VERY possible option. Oh and if your LS1 comes up missing and I brag about my NEW LS1 I didnt do it!

Its not so bad here in LA...I just finished school at USC if anyone knows about it they'll tell you its in the ghetto, I live basically in South Central...its no walk in the park. I've left my car parked on the street outside my apts. unlocked for 2 days straight with a whole computer system in there, monitor, case, scanner, etc. It wasn't touched...and I don't live in an area around USC where its just students. Granted it was stupid of me to do that, but it was an accident. I say you just get yourself a good alarm, like one with a pager to know if something is going on. Then perhaps get one of those grant wheels that you can remove and have a removable face plate on your stereo. I don't see what else would be left to steal, perhaps speakers and such, but there is a point where you have to just accept your losses....the Lexan windows is kind of an interesting idea, since they are shatter proof.

There will always be ways and means to take and defend property.
Visual deterents are number 1.
Leds/ clubs/ ex- marine sniper stickers
Second, audio and visual warnings.
Then if thats not enough work on developing non-lethal anti-personel devices for those with malicious persistence.
One random idea- a seat mat with spikes for when they hop in.
FLYNLOW92rs needs all the protection he can get with all them haters and style facists rollin around his turf(s).

If you do it make sure to put a sticker on the window with a small warning about noise if the car is broken into so you can avoid legal implications.
Talk about getting revenge!!

Yea this is a good idea..My brothers friend put in a $500 alarm system that when it is set off its starts off loud and gets super loud very fast...after 5 seconds it is so high pitched that the burglers ears will bleed
...you just gotta be careful not to set it off yourself

Bleh, my motto is, if a thief wants it, he will get it no matter what you do to the car. It will only post pone him if anything. Me personally, I know i'll have my radio stolen eventually, but I don't care, as long as the car sits im happy. Just throw in a alarm and some sort of protection from keeping them from stealing it. What im doing right now is just taking the PCM inside the house with me. If they want it bad enough, someone will get it regardless of bullet proof glass and any other ridiculous anti-theft methods.

The warning will just give them a heads up to bring ear plugs. Like I said if they want it they'll get it. What you should invest is a camera to over look where your car is parked, that way if anything does happen you have it on tape and have hope of getting re-imbursed or getting your items back.
