ok... change this to any metallic black cars! I need to see what this paint looks like.

 

good luck, white or black paint hides the metal flake, so it doesn't really work. that is why you look dumb asking to see a metallic black paint job.

 

Jared, relax. He doesn't look dumb asking this question. I've seen metallic black cars in person and they look pretty nice IMO. It's something you don't really notice unless you're up close though. You usually end up with a slight color tint when you do this, just so you know. Same with doing a pearl black. The most common I've seen is slightly purple. It still looks great. I personally prefer a quality deep black paintjob over pearl or metallic though.

 

well i wrote up something long and it didn't go through so here goes shortly.

look to minitruck books and forums for pics of what you seek. you won't find much here. gm is one of the few companies that uses metallics in their black. their black is actually green but it's so dark then when the blue metallic is added it becomes black which is also why gm's black has more of a blue hue to it then other company black paints.

anyhow here is a black with purple pearl...i'll see what else i can dig up.

There's a Mercedes were I work that is metallic black. I just checked their site, they call it Obsidian Black Metallic. You might stop at a dealer and see how it looks.
