I woke up this morning to find a 50 pound foundation brick laying on my driveway next to my car. I look up and see gouges and baseball sized dents in my hood.The brick chipped my winshield and looks like it bounced off the hood and hit my pass. side mirror and took a good chunk of paint out of it. Anyway, I was needing some advice on where I could find a nice cowl induction fiberglass hood. I'm thinking about 2" to 2 1/2" . If any one has pictures, please post so I can see.Also, does any of them come with hinges or do I need to buy some? I probably couldn't use my old ones,huh? This really didn't start my day off good.I just had my car painted about two months ago.So I would really appreciate any help you guys can offer.

as far as hinges go, you can check to see if your old ones were worn. If they barely hold up your steel hood, they will probably be worn enough to work on your fiberglass hood. If not, just go to a boneyard and find the hinges that won't hold up a steel hood. I think www.up22.com has a 2 1/4" cowl induction hood, but I do not know about their quality. Just make a post about fiberglass cowl hoods and plenty of people will give you advice.
