Painting T-Top

The "black borders" on my T-Top glasses have these gray spots from the sun shining on it. What kind of spray paint should I used to paint them??

I used the small black clearcoat spray cans from AUtozone, PepBoyz, O'Reilly's (all have the same brand). Worked Great!!!! Did 3 or 4 light coats and then even wet sanded it. Looks like factory original now.

Yep dido, used dupli color high gloss black enamel on mine. Sanded down the old till it was smooth. Painted, let dry wet sanded and buffed to shine. I need to re buff them its been 4 years since I did that.

Duplicolor also makes a paint called 'Trim Black' which is very similar to the OEM matte black as can be and very durable. My opinion choice...

haha i sanded the old down really really well, almost to bare metal (or as close to as possible) and painted them with color place primer and color place flat black. Im happy with the results, and plan on painting the rest of the trim on the car (hatch trim and little trim behind t-tops) in the future in the same manner.

Originally I scuffed mine with 400, cleaned, masked and shot mine with Duplicolor's satin black. Looked like factory, but with a cleaner sheen. I have seen flat painted on and it seems too dull.

When the car was repainted, I went back and had the painter paint it to match the body. I really like it this way!
