if you dont mind me asking why dont you want a nice clean shiny dash. The best way to do it is just leave it sittin around for a couple days and it will dissapear (the shine) or just use water with wipes

I like a clean dash, I just don't like it shiny. I bought this stuff from meguiars that is called natural shine. I used on my mom's car and it looked great. I want to use it on mine but my dash is loaded with armor all.
Will the grease lightning orange cleaner mixed with water take it off?? or is simple green the only thing that will work??

How much armor all have you used on it, alot of times if you use armor all on these dash pads they crack. I can understand not wanting a real shinny dash, when the sun is behind me or to the side of me I can see my dash in the wind shild.

Armor-All is bad, mmkay. The dash pad will eventually crack if you leave the Armor-All on there for a long time without reapplying it. When I switched to leather & vinyl conditioner, I just used it over the armor-all. It took most of it off the first time around, and it looks nice and clean without that blinding shine.

armorall and anything else silicone based should be thrown out and taken off shelves. it's a detailers quick fix that is used more commonly to hide imperfections then do good.

get it off before it does any damage and if you own a bottle of the stuff throw it out.....if you care about your parts.

secondly, i just noticed your near me. don't let me catch you using it....

true...i suppose certain areas are alright. under hood and interior even if things are bad and they have no hope.

however, it will cause interior to dry rot and crack as well as things under the hood to discolor and fade from heat. it promotes wear on rubber hoses to which will either get you stranded or cause some sort of problem down the road.

if you want something shiney without the trouble try something like meguiars leather/vinyl mist n' shine. it's in a burgandy bottle and advanced on 23 sells it....or any major auto store for that matter.

still the glossy shine without the harsh chemicals.

I can't say I've found anything really good yet for the plastics. For the vinyl dash pad and miscellaneous other areas, I've been using Blue Magic Leather & Vinyl Conditioner with great success.
