what to protect fresh rims

i just stripped my rims to the bare metal. the clear coat and all the paint is off. they look really nice and shiney. what should i put on them to protect them, or should i put anything on them at all. this car is practically a daily driver (4 out of 7 days a week). wax? re-clearcoat it? what do you think?

for a daily driver you should definately look into a clear coat of sorts. either powder coat or something along the lines of zoop. never tried their product as it was to expensive just to try. you'll definately need something but remeber that you'll loose 15% of a metals shine with a protectant.

in the mean time use a good aluminum polish and the layer on the carnuba wax. i use stage 3 meguiars 100% carnuba. any 100% should do though.

I polished my rims this winter and I havent had a problem just leaving them bare metal. Just put a little wax on them now and again and they should be fine... I dont really even polish them that much but there always clean, they might get a little spotty from water spots and the such but its eaisily fixed with polish. So I'd vote keep em bare if you like the shine, but if youd rather shoot some clear on em go ahead, zoop seal can be rather expensive.
