if it's the sticker type, all i used was wd40 along with either a blowdryer, or a heat gun, depending on your weather. just make sure you don't leave the heat on too long in one spot otherwise it will start to heat your paint as well. the wd40 will help losen up the adhesive with the heat, and it'll peel right off. hope this helps. it worked for me.

Does anything need to be done to your paint after removal? Does the paint look ok? I would think it would have a different shade where the pinstripe was located, especially if you've had the pinstripe for a long time.

I have a medium quasar blue (the stock blue) '92 RS, and it has a red and white pinstripe combo running the length of the car, and I've hated them since I bought it in '99, but I've been afraid to remove it, because I thought it would look bad.

I normally use a heat gun"VERY CAREFULLY"coz they are designed to strip paint. then a clean down & a cut & polish.
If your car has been Garaged & looked after since new the paint differance shouldn't be too bad. If it is you can always restripe with maybe silver?

You can use a rubber disc on a drill motor (available from hthe Eastwood Company. The car may need to be buffed afterward, depending on how much your paint is faded. If the car has been repainted with the stripe on, you're pretty much screwed...you'd have to replace the stripe or sand and repaint.

Damn right. I worked in a body shop and they were to cheap to do it the right way like you said. They just gave me a razor blade. It worked you just have to be so damn careful. And I wouldnt suggest doing it that way. Just in case someone tries it and blames me I'll telling you now!
