ok guys im plainning on getting some new rims for my car and im not sure on the sizes and such
i want either 17's or 18's and width 8-9. would i have to modify anything on my car to fit 8-9 inch wide tires?
sorry but when it comes to wheels i know nothing about the numbers like ???/?? can soimebody clue me in to what these numbers represent. thanks for the help

 

Any rim thats 17 X 8 or 18 X 8 with 4.5" backspacing or 0 offset you shouldn't have any problems with, although may be some slight rubbing on full lock to lock. Id use 245/45 for 17s and 245/40 for 18s. I'm not certain on 9" wide rims.
