83 Firebird with GFX?!?!
Hey whatsup, i looked at a 83 firebird today and need ur guys opinion on it....it has a newer maroon pearlish (metalflakish) paint job, a crazy gfx kit ive never seen before, it has i think the power bulge hood, its kinda like the knight rider hood and it says 5.0 HO on the bulge. its got ttops(the guy says they dont leak). power hatch works(the hood and hatch struts dont), umm as for rust there was only a tiny bit of surface rust on the deck lid above the tail lights. both headlights pop up. the engine...well its a 305 5spd new valve covers, new headers with i think borla exhaust all the way to the rear with dual pipes outback. its has 245000 kilometers (im in canada). When i started it it took like 5 or 6 rotations to fire up then as it got warmer the idle slowly increased so he went and went to kick it down and it idle lower then just stalled. after that he tried to keep it running but it kept stalling...he says its just the carb needing some fine tuning. he said he is getting it aircared(emmisions) tomorow but i doubt it cuz his add on the net says it is aircared... its got new rear tires, fronts are in good shape, its got mags on it i dont really care for so id sell those. but the guys asking $3900 canadian with 1 year warranty, if i lower the price theres no warranty. thanks for takin the time to read this heres a pic if u have any helpful info or have any questions just ask, i really like this car, i know i should look around at other cars more but this car is amazing i love the look of the 82-84's wich is also why i really want this car.

those aren't factory ground effects, and i would try to talk him down unless he gets it running PERFECT...hell, i woud STILL try to talk him down because when buying a used car getting the car for less money is ALWAYS better...

yeah, those gfx arent factory... if the car really is an L69, its not too common.. not too many L69 83's out there... check the 8th digit of the VIN and post it up.

ok, i really want teh car, my parents say ishould look around more for something better and that under the new paint theres probly an accident or 2. so i dunno i want it, but theres lotsa stuff possibly wrong with it...but thats a risk when buying used cars. if i do decide to buy it ill probly only offer $3000 cuz it hardly even ran when i looked at it and its not even aircared, if it passes aircare i may offer a bit more.

GFX are aftermarket and its an LG4. If it doesnt run right I'd look around for another one. I got my LU5 '83 for $240 with a great interior and excellant running motor/trans, 93,000 miles, and original paint so I know it hasnt been wrecked.
Never rush to buy a car. Take your time and you will enjoy it more. The 1st, last, and only time I rushed to buy a car I ended up with a '90 Camaro RS with LO3 700R4 2.73's gears, when I was looking for an 82-84 T/A. Lets just say I got really bored of it.
