New Paint FAQ
Hey I just figured that alot of questions are frequently posted about what to do after you just get paint done....or have good paint in general. Paint can be one of the most expensive components on your car, and is definatly what people see the most. Searching has provided good results and I figured I'd just accumulate it all into one thread so people can be directed to the majority of the info. Ive gathered some stuff that Ill post in a reply and people can use this thread it PROVE and DISPROVE methods, myths, or personal stories/beliefs. Enjoy.

*You should use a car wash product specially formulated for your car's finish (not your dishes).
*Many people continue to wash their car with dish washing detergent (e.g., Dawn), which quickly degrades automotive plastic, rubber and paint. On the basis of overwhelming evidence, dishwashing detergent will destroy your clearcoat finish over time. Dishwashing detergents are formulated to remove grease and oils. Detergents easily strip wax protection from your paint and moisture from rubber seals and trim
*Car washing Tips, Do’s & Don’t’s can be found here: http://store.yahoo.com/autopia/mopaca.html
*Microfiber towel" will help reduce the amount of swirls in your paint, as they eliminate dirt and grit without getting it trapped like a sponge may
*It’s best not to use any products on the paint for at least a few weeks
*Careful not to drive it to much for a while the paint is still soft and very easy to chip.
....also anyone should post they're fav car care products, to help uninformed people such as myself
