How much do I need to sand down in order for some touch up paint work?

Some idiot decided that I needed door guards on my camaro so I took them off, but they left 5 tiny holes in my door. I filled them with Bondo tonight and sanded them down, but now I have half-dollar sized circles in my doors that need to be painted...

can I just leave it that size and maaco or whoever can touch it up or do I need to do the entire length of the door? I do realize that's it's almost impossible to match the color exactly, but I'm getting my entire car painted soon so it doesn't have to be perfect.

Run a clean cloth over the area, and feel through the cloth with your hand. The sanded area should provide a very smooth, undetectable transition to the "real" paint. Paint jobs are given in "mils", or "millionths of an inch", so if you can't feel a transition, you're probably good to go. Don't leave the Bondo open to rain at all; it'll absorb water. In fact regular primer absorbs water, too. (I didn't know that, and don't ask how I found out. ) You need to spray a "primer/SEALER" over the areas to leave them exposed to rain.
