T-Tops

Has anyone out there put T-Tops into the older wheels aftermarket? Pros and Cons, and any info on who does this stuff... much thanks

Yeah, I have a set of t-tops sitting in older wheels aftermarket right now, and another set in newer tires OEM.

Um, I had no idea what your first post meant, and that's why I responded how I did. Now I think I understand that you're asking about aftermarket t-top conversions, correct? If so, I'd absolutely say to forget it. The t-top cars are structurally reinforced, so cutting up a hardtop will turn the car into a soda can. Even if you stiffen it up with subframe connectors, you'll be faced with the reality that you'll have one-of-a-kind (or damn close to it) parts that will be very hard to get if you ever need them replaced for any reason.

I have found one company about an hour from me that is GM licensed to produce the t-tops and they carry D.O.T. approval as well. I have sent them an e-mail asking about the integrity issue and I will post that info when I recieve it. http://www.melroset-tops.com/prod02.htm
