Goodmark make steel cowl hoods for our cars. Not sure if they are 3 inches though.

Goodmark

Ok, so it looks like they either make a 2" or 4" steel hood. The 4" is currently in the tooling stages. So when it's done you could get it through them or even through Jegs. Here is the pic of what the hood looks like:

Hope that's what your looking for.

Goodmark Hoods

I also am looking at a Goodmark Hood and have been told that the 2 in. hood of their`s measures closer to 3 in. I'm trying to verify this before i buy. Any info you can provide on the subject would be great.

I've never measured it, but from what I've seen, I'd definately say that it's higher than 2". It looks very similar to my 3" harwood... well, except that it doesn't fit like a POS like my Harwood.

BTW, if you're looking to buy one, PM me. I know where you can get them a little cheaper than what Goodmark charges if you buy direct.

I have a Goodmark hood, just measured it, it is 3 inches. The fit is very good, but it is heavy, also has a nice round cut out inside for the air cleaner.

I had the goodmark cowl hood until i test drove the project without a latch installed.....

The thing is rediculously HEAVY. If you get it, add like 20 HP to compensate for the weight. But they do come smooth and ready to scuff and paint. Got a glass hood now, so so so much lighter.
