Too low in the front compared to the rear
maybe drop the rear more or add 1/2 a coil up front
just my
but all in all a lot better than stock

I'm putting on some shorties, whadda ya think? Will they scrape?
i cant see how low youre car is, cause the pics are down or sumthin, but i cut about 1-1 1/2 coils off my front, and i have edelbrock TES headers and they dont scrape too bad... but they do
trust me they are, with the 3" y pipe, and the clamps they do, but like i said, not horribly, just every once in a while, before i re positioned one of the clamps, it used to scrape all the time

if i get a chance tomorrow ill take a couple orf pics to show you that they infact do... but its not horrible, but with the way the roads are around here, and the angle i have to go over them the y pipe scrapes...

that is soo sweet yes...soo glad to see you slammed it..pretty close to mine actually..you just need abit lower profile tire and it would be close...lower the back another .5 or 1' and it would look really good..just watch out for the bump stops...nothing a grinder wont take care of tho..good job

Well thank you Slammed_Z
hmmmm...when I finished the job, I drove down the most bumpy alley I knew. I heard the occational loud "bump" and wondered about it, but never put it togeather that was the "BUMP STOPS" working
Maybe I'll trim them just a tad.....hmmmmmm.......

You cut with an angle grinder, or whatever you want with a hight speed cutoff disk. The shorter the spring gets, the stiffer it becomes. The more coils you cut the lower you car sits, and the stiffer the ride becomes.

after lowering my car i have problems with my tire hitting the passenger side wheel well. i bought the adjustable panhard bar from spohn and i still cant seem to get it to stop hitting. the car is only lowered 2"( that was my over all measurement). other than my wheel offset being off i can think of anything else that could do it. is there a way to fix this without buying new wheels i saw some pretty slammed cars on this thread figured someone might have had the same problem as me

OMG first off thats a lot of spring you cut. second congrats!!
that looks amazing. when i decide to set up to some 18's im going to take the angle grinder to my springs again and drop another coil. i bet your air dam and the piece under the car for the radiator scrapes while driving on flat pavement!!! :lala:

Thanks for the complements, I am really happy with the quality of the ride. You can "feel" the road so much more now. I wanted the rear up a little more than the front, I think weight will transfer better like that. Is that correct?

theoretically it will do better for the weight transfer i like the rake look and could careless about the weight transfer on the elco as i have no weight back there anyway and i like to go sideways from 2nd to third

i will get some better ones tomorrow. im in the process of my body work and i cant get rid of the gap between the hood and the front nose, the fenders line up with the hood and the bumper lines up with the fenders but the hood wont line up with the nose, so im going to get a new one here shortly

wow that one was bad, i also have a larger front ground effect than you, you have the shorter pre 91 style which is smaller, but yours is def lower, but all mine is are springs, not cut

anyone think ill have any problems with a 20x8.5" rim? front and back? Im not sure if they have a 18 or a 40 offset, its one or the other. I'd just need the spacers to make em fit.

Damnit I still don't have a ruler, but it looks like ~3-4" (Center of bumper from the ground)

In no way do I wish to sound like a$$ , but do you not realize that you are going to thrash that car with the springs like that?
Just spend the $ and buy some bags at least....
Just my opinion

Something I did just for fun, never would have tried to drive it like that though.
