Door dings

So my car is sitting in the garage for the winter and when ever my mother opens the door of her car door it seams to hit mine. I no shes careful but the other day I went out and saw that I had little paint chips on the side of my door.(I was pissed off) They can be covered with a little strip of rubber that u can put there but is that the only options? Because I think that the little rubber pieces look like crap. What do u guys think?

When I did my car...(Sheesh, almost 13 years ago now!!!) I hated the looks of side moldings. I LOVED the clean lines of these cars, and when you get 'em straight and sharp on a dark colored car.... OOOOHHHHHH YYYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH !!!!!! (anybody got a smoke??) ...
The first door ding I got, however completely changed my outlook!!!!

You are fortunate to have someone that is considerate and careful, but accidents DO happen

Yea I was thinking maybe if I got the half circular side body moldings and painted them the same color as my gfx that they might make a good accent piece. What do u guys think would that be a bad idea. I would be the only one with something like that if I did it.

you could put moldings on the car, or you could buy a bumper that eastwood sells. The piece hangs front the ceiling and then would hang right where your door it . Thats just another option if you dont want to put body side moldings on .

Is there any kind of low profile side molding that doesn't take away from the looks so much? I'm going to remove it on my '87, but I know as soon as I get it painted some idiot will put a big dent in it.

I've had 'em to knock a dent in it while I'm sitting in the car! Breathe.....breathe....I'm OK now.:lala:

That bumper guard probably would have been a good idea, but its to late know because thers is a chip in my new paint.

Would painting them the same color as the gfx be a good idea tho. My car is a shade of black metallic with grey metallic gfx. I also painted the spoiler the same color as my gfx to. I was just thinking maybe it would be a good accent piece.
