A matter of opinion...

I would like some input from those of you who have purchased fiberglass hoods from various sources. I want to buy a 4" cowl hood that can use the stock hinges and latch. Who makes the best quality hoods that fit correctly when they arrive? Also, can someone point me in the direction of a good source for new sheetmetal fenders?

Thanks in advance!!

Ugh. Somebody should make an FAQ on fiberglass hoods. Dude, scan down the list. I guarantee that you'll find no less than a half dozen posts with the exact same question. I've got a Harwood and it's pure crap.

I have a Harwood hood, and it fits and looks great. When it arrived I had to trim the edge lip down to a quarter inch, and notch for the rubber bumpers on the fenders. Installation was a breeze, the hinges and latch lined up perfectly. The only thing I dislike is that the hood seems to lift at the front edges at highway speeds, I'm considering hood pins. I do'nt know if this a problem with Harwood, or all fiberglass hoods. Good luck.

i just posted my picture of the unlimited products 4 3/4 cowl for my Z today in a different topic. I had to sand it to get it to look good and it still needs some adjusting but i'm going to wait until it goes to get painted.
