Anyone know anything about fiberglass????
I am sick of my stock hood. Once upon a time I had a 3" cowl hood. It flew off and self-destructed. I fixed the front of it w/ some bondoglass and filler, but it has horrible stress cracks. (spiderwebs) It was originaly a bolt on but The mounts "departed" on take off. I've been thinking of painting it primer Black and pining it back on the car. My question is, does anyone know of a sealer or primer to help with the stress cracks? Id like to make it look as neat as possible, although its only temporary untill i get $$$ for a new one. I might also have to have it for clearance now that i will be putting the

you can go to boaters world or boat shop and pick up a fiberglass repair kit and do it.this stuff is messy and if you dont know what youre doin ,it can be a pain to deal with.read directions carefully and you should be alright.just fiberglass resin wont hold up ,it looks strong when it dries but will crack over time without the cloth that comes in kit.follow directions and take your time.and wear protecive clothing on hands and arms and a mask.if you need help once you get started post back here and I will give you my e-mail.It can be fixed and probably way cheeper then replacing.
