Chromed is do-able. I can't even imagine the time it would take to polish the centers of cross-lace wheels.

That would be something the gov't could give prisoners to do... but only if they have life sentences would they ever finish a set of 4.

i thought about doing this.. but it would be just toooooo much work. so i just painted them black in the center, and polished the outerlip.

if you REALLY wanted that done, id send it to a commercial polisher.. someone who does this kind of stuff everyday.. they'll have the tools to do it automaticly and would be used to complex shapes...

I had the idea to do that also. I am starting it this weekend. I had a little different idea though. I am going to polish the lip and the face of the crosslaces but not the inside edges of the crosslaces. I will leave the inside edges black (gloss or flat?, what do you think?) I think that would look pretty sweet still. And a whole LOT easier. What do you think?

If you're going to leave the insides black, I'd do them in a semi-gloss finish.

Why not just powdercoat them? "Almost Chrome" has a great look, and lots of shine. I dunno how much it runs, but I bet it would look damn good.

i dont think they would look as good if they were polished or chrome , i think black or some color with a polished lip looks great . But go for it and get them chromed and be one of the first on here to do it .
