specific brand/PN's for touchup paint
Howdy...
New TGO user....buying my Firebird the second the lady gets her sig on the bill of sale!...the body has a bit of rust/paint scratches, and I'm going to be touching them up...got a bit of body work to do, she's a little older of a car but in surpirsingly good shape
My question is mainly this...for the rust (its only surface rust, nothing penatrating), should i use somethnig bondolike, or actual bondo? and then to do the paintmatching, since its only a small chuck of rust or two, I've heard model paint can be used to paint these smaller regions...or would someone suggest a better way to do this? The loan I'm getting for this car should have everything DONE and paid for very quickly, and allow me to operate it, but I'm aiming for $100 - $150 CDN funds on body work....windshiled replace is $230, plus whatever else....
Thanx in advance for your input
EDIT::: forgot to re-iterate I'd like exact product names if at all possible...thanx I want to do this RIGHT

try to get a color matched through RPO codes, if it has original paint.
I used a couple cans of Duplicolor on my RS. worked great and matched perfectly.
You can pick it up at most auto parts stores, wal-Mart has a limited supply usually.
