When Should I Wax

I just painted the car 5 weeks ago. I want to know when I should put some wax on the car. The paint is PGG base/clear. I've been told by a couple people I should wax it pretty soon to protect the new paint job. Should I go ahead and wax it and what products should I use?

ive always heard that you werent supposed to wax a new paint job for about 6 months , but you could probably do it in three. Or even better use a polish like wizards, i use wizards polish and its great , and you can use it asap after painting since its breathable , where wax isnt .

you can use hand glaze anytime after since it doesnt contain silicone. if the car was baked after painting, you can wax it about a month after. we use PPG at my body shop and never had a problem after a month.
