I have a 91 RS and I'm wanting to replace those nasty looking stock 15's with some 17x9.5 wheels. I know they will fit in the back but I need to know if 9.5's will fit up front without any problems. It doesn't look like they will. If 9.5's are too wide what is the biggest I can run up front? Please help!

I believe 275/40/17's (?)are the ideal fit for that w/o making your speedo off

HEY SUPER CHEVY JUST PUT OUT AN ARTICLE ON THIRD-GENS. THEY SAID THAT YOU COULD USE 17X9.5 UPFRONT WITH 5.5" BACKSPACING. AND A LITTLE TIE ROD GRINDING.. BUT IT TOTALLY MATTERS ON THE WHEELS.. AND THE WIDEST OTHERWISE IS 17X8 WITH 4.5" BACKSPACING..HAVE FUN ADN DONT MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A *****..

Yeah, I saw in Super where they put 17x9.5's on all corners on that Camaro, but I think it was an IROC or a Z28, but my car is an RS and I'm not sure if there's enough room. My 15x7's already rub when I make a wide turn and there's not alot of space between the tire and the front strut. But still, any info is appreciated.

I said wide turn, I meant tight turn!

Mine are 17x9's, and I had to take off the inner splash shield. But if you go with 275/40/17 tires and 5.5" backspacing, you could vey well make it without too much damaging rubbing.Oh,and mine is an RS, and lowered almost 2", so yours should be okay, especially if it hasn't been lowered.
