Okay I am brand new to the F bodies. I currently own a G body but am giving consideration to purchasing my first F body. The car is a 1986 Trans Am. 45,000 actual miles. 2nd owner with all documentation. Black/Gold color scheme. Comes with all available options including t-tops. Gold aluminum wheels, 305 HO (not the L69)Absolutely rust free and interior is near mint. stored indoors. For some reason the original clear coat has seperated from the paint. Car will need to be repainted. Car includes a complete set of new decals. Is the clear coat problem commom? I know GM had alot of paint issues in the mid 80's. how much should I expect to pay for a car of this condition and mileage?
