painting material questions

hey watsup ok my car is stripped down to the metal n has like 2 coats of black primer and i will be wet sanding it soon and i just recieved my income tax money and its definitly time for me to get it painted at my autobody class now what im wondering wat are some materials will i need to buy? i was told to buy sealer and laquer thinner or laquer primer? i plan on painting the car black by the way wat else do i have to buy? we already have the gun n air

if you stripped it down to bare metal i would have put an etching primer down first and follow that with a 2k high build primer. you are going to need sandpaper, general purpose thinner(to clean you guns out when you are done), base coat, clear coat, reducers and activators, any body filler for dents, somes hard and soft blocks, a mask and paint suit, paint sticks and strainers. thats all i can think of for right now. if i remember anything else ill be sure to post it.

Stay away form laq. primer...it has a tendency to make your paint lift. Like stated before by hev chev, seal the bare metal with an etching primer, and then use a highbuild (i like a good epoxy primer) to get her blocked smooth, followed by a sealer (unless the epoxy you choose is a sealer as well). Make sure you sand off all that black primer before you start; if it is the primer I am thinking of, it will cause you problems. Just remember, your paint job is only as good as the body work underneath.
