Cleaning up your paint?(Swilrs)
Cleaning up your paint?(Swilrs)
I had a 92 rs before i the one i have now. They were exactly the same color. Its the metalic blue. My first one seemed to be a little darker. The new one also has some swrils what should i do to darken it up (clean it up) and take out the swrils.
Also once i do this what is the best wax to use to keep it looking great??
(I dont know how to buff)

Ever since I switched to using Zaino show car polish I haven't had to worry about swirl marks in my paint - both on black and dark mettalic green. It's amazingly easy to put on and take off, holds a shine a long time, and has really become the choice of most auto enthusiasts. check out www.zainobros.com
I hate to sound like a commercial for the guy, but I haven't heard anyone being dissapointed by the product, and I won't use anything else on my cars anymore.
Also if you're looking to buy, Ken C. at f-body.com is running a group purchase real soon.

I agree with Karps that Zaino is great stuff. I believe that it will make your car darker looking, for some reason it has always made my cars darker.
As for the swirls I would not believe that there is any miracle product out there that will erase them. If you are not comfortable buffing or color sanding the car take it to a bodyman or detailer. After they buff the car then use the Zaino products to keep the finish looking good.

i have a 92 rs and it gets swirls every once and a while all you need is to buy a waxing wheel and the kind of wax i use is mothers its about 12.00 and comes in a red container just wax it and buff out with wheel and swirll marks will be gone. my advise is just but mothers wax it gives real dark and shinny look for cheap where the zaino costs about 80.00 but is also excelent product.
