lets see your lugnuts!

can everyone post some pics of their lugnuts and tell me where you got them? specifically on 85-87 iroc wheels. also, i may need to go with an open lugnut for the back cause i intend on getting longer wheel studs. any idea where i can get some open ended acorn style lugnuts?

Here are the ones I sorta made, they are acorn style but with 1/2 fine threads...I took a hacksaw to the top of the cap and finished with a bench grinder. I couldn`t find a chrome nut with a deep hex and an open end, so I made it. The other thing is standard 1/2 nuts come with 13/16 hex`s...I had my parts guy search the bins till he came up with 3/4 outside hex.

btw... these are arp three inch threads too

They are 3 inch long 1/2 x 20 arp studs, the lugs are 1/2 x 20 also but I cut the cap off so the stud could pass thru the lug...I just wanted a chrome lug with a long shanked nut but coudn`t find one. The wierd thing is I found these that have a 3/4 outside hex (they usually have 13/16 hex)

The caps a spun aluminum that were sold by classic industries, I believe they have been discontinued but I seen a thread a few months ago bout` someone making them again. Yea I didn`t want "iroc" on my caps either...even if I had an Iroc

how much did you have to drill on the axles to get those to work? i'm assuming that your using the stock (or stockish) 7.5. or did you just put them in and take an impact gun to them? also, did you have to drill the holes for the studs in the wheels?

you have to drill the holes larger for the studs to fit for the front or rear. The wheels need no mods for the 1/2 inch studs, they slip right over no problem.
