Ok I got a couple of questions...Xenon-Krypton Bulbs...What exactly are they? Are they the bulbs behind the gauge cluster? And how do you change the color of the light that lights up the A/C controls? Ive got a CD player that puts out a bright blue display and it doesnt look good with the A/C yellowish color. So I wanna make all my lights blue except like the dome light and the map lights. Just the gauges and the A/C light. Thanks for the help!!!

To Monkie, I also have a cd player with blue buttons [ Alpine CDA-7965 ] the gauge lights in my TA are amber. It is a bad combo. I did find a gauge kit in Summit called millennium from VDO instruments. It includes five colors of back lighting discs including blue. It does cost 319.95, plus 69.99 on top of that for a tachometer. I think this is what I will do to solve to solve this problem. And I hope it also works with yours.

Uh, i dunno, but in my Bird, for the dash, all you have to do is change the bulbs, I dont' think the actual dash is tinted amber. The bulbs have an amber paint over them, I believe. Don't know about the AC controls tho, plus Monkie, urs has a different dash setup than mine.

Monkie, dont have all the info on this...but i have a freind who made his reverse lights blue with a $5 spray paint made for lights. Like i said i dont know what kind of spray it was, or what colors they have...but i do know his reverse lights are now blue so im sure you would have no problem spraying the little bulbs in the air...i just wanna know if they have red cause i have a red display If you could find the spray though it would sure be nice to spend $5 as opposed to 300+

 

Check out Mike H car audio pics, he also show pics of a very nice gauge set up, and he gives net directions on how to get them and the blue bulbs. Great looking set up for under $100.00.
