Aftermarket Hoods

i am thinking about buying the 82-92 Trans-Am ram-air hood, 97 replica, from American Sports Car Design, Inc. i want to put it on an 88 firebird. Will i have to do any fabrications to this hood upon installation?

I believe that if you have a different bay size it might have some bearing on it. Not sure, though. I've heard alot of things being thrown up in the air concerining that. But if you're going to get a hood, I suggest that you get it from a different place. You might find the hood at a cheaper price. I've posted alot of links on the website that I'm a link administrator for... It's www.thedfwscene.com. There might even be other things that you will find useful. Just go to the links section.

I like my big block hood from ASCD. It fits good and was made well. Lots of room underneath for later mods also! Got mine before the price increase, but usually in the real world you get what you pay for.

PS I don't think this would look right on the firebird probably because I've never seen one. I was just saying ASCD was a quality hood manufacturer.

just recently I have bought the same hood and put it on the same day , no problems whatsoever , only thing that seems weird is the fact that there is no provision for "the spring" that pops the hood, but I think since the hood is so light it is made to be raised by itself as long as you have good hood shocks.
