Serious paint problem----HELP
Here's my problem--
Was doing some spray painting in the garage Saturday and my white Formula was sitting out in the driveway (about a good 10-15 feet away). I thought it was an acceptable distance away and that the mist from the spray paint wouldn't come close to it. Well, I was out looking at it today and noticed black and grey speckles ALL OVER the white paint on the Formula! Apparently the mist (from the grey and black spray paint) did travel far enough to land on the car. So now I have a problem.
Is there anyone out there that has enough knowledge of paint/paint removal that can tell me there is something I can do to my white finish (besides getting it repainted)? I'm sure there is something I can buy to help remove it, isn't there??

First smack yourself around a little for irresponsibility, then get yourself a claybar. Any brand will probably work. Follow the directions. Rub till each spot is gone. If that doesn't work try a mild paint thinner. Keep in mind that the thinner will remove any and all wax or polish, and may cause the paint to haze, crack, lift off, melt, etc if you aren't carefull. You may also want to try a mildly abrasive rubbing compound.
Clay is the only thing that may remove the paint with no risk of further damage.

Since it is only overspray,,, another alternative to a clay bar is Meguires Body Scrub, it should take the overspray off w/a bit of work & leave you with a nice shiny finsh. You will still need to wax or polish afterwards. (,, it's amazing how far Krylon overspray can travel & still stay wet,, not that I've had that problem b 4
)

Well I took some great advice and purchased Meguiars paint cleaner. Let's just say that I'm actually kind of happy that I 'lightly screwed up' my paint with the overspray. After cleaning off what seemed like a decade of wax and dirt (plus the overspray), my white finish looks great! Now all I need to do is throw down a couple coats of wax and I should be sporting a bigger grin!!

The clay bar is one of the best products for detailing around. I use it all the time. I restore antique cars, and sometimes we get some overspray, and the bar always removes it. Then follow up with polish and some wax. Your good to go. Also at a detail shop I used to work at, that was my routine.
