I saw the car sitting in a yard like you see it in the pics. and I was already shopping around for a few parts to fix up my 86 . so I had to check this one out.

my 86 pic.

it has a 350 4 bolt main engine that was pulled from a early 70's chevy pickup. if the engine in the 88 is bad , could I use the 350 in the 88 and use all of the factory 305 tpi stuff, like the intake and fuelinjection ?

also I will be needing a new radiator for the car because both cars the 86 and 88 have the plastic tanks on the radiators damaged. tyhe one on the 86 I kind of damaged it by droping a battery on it ( butterfingers) lol.
and the radiator on the 88 looks as if it had busted open from overheating . so im questioning the overall condition of the engine.

what or where can I get a good radiator? , no plastic tanks plz.

well that was what I was thinking and trying to explain to my wife . that I could get all the parts I need to fix up my 86 and what parts I didnt need I could sell or trade for other things for my car.

but im now trying to convince her to let me fix up both cars.

I would like to paint the 88 all black base coat clear with either a gold pearl clear coat.or a black cherry,

the 86 I am thinking of doing a red candy or red with black strip.

any suggestions?

just remember too that if you want to put the tpi setup on the 350 you would need a lot more stuff. Like 350 injectors, ecm, esc module, and a way to run you distributor without a knock sensor.

Ya that's not an 88. Besides the serpentine belt not existing...the air intake looks to be off the 87 and prior TAs. I'd be leary of that car.

yea you'r right, its not an 88 like the guy said, and I should have noticed that .

I will try to check the vin# on the car to see if it is a 87 ,88 .

the engine maynot be original in the car but it's not the engine im after anyway. it all the spare parts that I need that would save me some cash over going to the salvage yards and rummage through what few parts they have left and paying to much for the parts .

around here a windshield out of a 3rd gen will cost $75 and you pull all parts your self.

doors are $75 each
dash pad is $50.
rear areowing is $75.
wheels with center caps are $200.
rear end is $200.
and headlight motors are $50 each

the total is $850. but if I want all those parts the guy at the local salvage yard said he will let me have the parts for $450.

so I figure that by buying the car in the pictures I posted that I could take both cars and build one heck of a nice car and either keep the other for parts or sell it to someone on this club that could also use some cheep spare parts.
