Will changing a all stock and mint 92 Z from White to Matalic blue or burnt orange change the value of my car?

Not if the person buying it wants a white car. Its only worth what someone will pay.

mileage is truly to high to care... in the condition the paint is done right and tasteful of course.

for example. i painted my car originally candy red to come as close to the factory dark metallic red but with more pop. the advantage was a color that in normal dim light looked identical but yet had some flare in the sun. something like this will only help your sale.

to take a white car and paint it burnt orange you are taking a gamble. you must paint everything possible that is white to do it right, the paint must be perfect and the type of burnt orange you use must look good. even with all of this you will probably have a harder time selling the car then if you left it white. reguardless though a car that has seen some mileage won't be nearly affected by it then say one with half or less mileage.

if you need to paint it and your going to do it right go with whatever you like but just understand painting a pink car no matter how perfect will not raise the value. also, a car with 70,000+ miles is nearly mint in any way, however it can and probably is in very good condition.

The quality of the paint job will determine it. If I was looking at a blue or orange car and found a white engine bay, I'd immediately close the hood and leave. Others probably aren't as picky as me, but I think a non matching engine bay or any other blatantly obvious signs of a repaint are inexcusable. If you're not going to pull the engine and paint the engine bay too, then keep it white. If you want to spice it up a little bit, go with a pearl white.

But when i paint the engine bay, it will be black and the car will be silver.

If you are changing the color, do it the right way and competely strip the car.

it's so easy to paint an engine bay black with the motor in the car. to most this is just as bad as leaving the bay a different color, however it would depend on the quality of the job and the overall build.

main point is yes changing the color can drastically affect how much your car may be worth in the event that if the colors you choose and the job isn't very good you'll be sorry if you ever want to sell it. if you are thinking about selling it then you probably wouldn't change the color anyhow.

i agree with the statement above in that if you just want to spice it up add some pearl, it's cheaper wouldn't hurt anything if done right.
