L 88 hood scoop

i just had one put on my 89 rs and am wondering where should the hole be cut and how big should the hole be under the hood now.

well personally, i have seen this and i hate it. i know exaclty which cowl your talking about because i have it on my 79 vette. i love it on a curvy car like that but on a boxy car like a 3rdgen, i hate it. but its my opinion, and i doubt i live anywhere near you so if you like it do it.

a volvo is boxy..a 89 camaro has plenty of curves..[must be different in the usa i guess] AND I LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

well BuddyLeeX, a stock auto will always be less powerful than a stock manual because the torque converter robs the rear wheels of horse power. that and you have less control over the driveline of your car. Autos a defineatly not bad if they are built better than stock. My vette has an auto, but its got an upgraded stall converter and a B&M shift kit. but i would still get more power to the wheels if it had a manual. if you get a chance, drive an auto 3rdgen, and then drive the same model and year 3rdgen manual, and you will see what im talkin 'bout

lol, and a Volovo is a fridge.
a 3rdgen is boxy.
