heres a tip from the old timers who do not want to replace the weatherstrips every couple of years

vasaline. a very light coating!

Silicone spray works just as well. And if you are storing your car for more than a month or so, leave your doors/T-tops/hatch cracked open (if possible) so that the seals can expand again.
