85-87 powdercoated wheels?

Does anyone have any pics of the 16" iroc wheels powdercoated? I was thinking about getting that done but i don't know if its worth the money...what exactly does the coating do? how long does it last?

This is the best closeup pic I've got:

I polished the shiny part of the wheels, but left the rough part alone. After that, I powdercoated them clear, then painted the dark spots a little darker than stock for more contrast. The powdercoating came out real well except in the spots where the wheels were chewed up from wheel weights. I couldn't get all the dirt out of those spots, so the powdercoat bubbled. It's been about 5 or 6 years since I did them, and now if you get very close, you can see that the powdercoat is starting to get spiderwebbing in it, but overall, it's been very durable.

repainted?....i could see getting them polished, but i didn't really think they had paint on them...is it some special pain just for wheels? I just had the wheels shipped to me and they are in used condition...I'd like them to get the "rough edges" taken care of, i guess that would require sanding, and then i just want them to shine a little....

Sanding a powdercoated surface will allow the paint to stick, although after 5 or 6 years, some of it is starting to delaminate.

I used a spray can of wheel paint that I picked up at the local parts store. Graphite or charcoal, I forget. It was a little darker than the stock grey.
