Hatch louvers

were all factory hatch louvers plastic or were they metal? or some years plastic others metal? any info will help.

I own an '89 and I believe they are aluminum.

Mine are factory and they are alum.center slats with plastic end pieces
Scott Moyer is the "go to guy" on Louver info...He helped me out a lot when I needed info on mine

How can I get a hold of Scott Moyer? I have a '87 IROC that had factory louvers and I'd like to get another set. Any help would be great.
