Fiberglass hoods

I ordered a Harwood cowl hood recently, cause I smacked up my ride, a bit. Nothing major, just the 3/4 nose. I figure, since I gotta replace body parts, I might as well upgrade.
Anyhow, I see a lot folks having fitment problems w/Harwood and also the Glasstech as well.
Most of the pics I saw have the line-up problem between the hood and the bumper cover. My questions are:
I imagne the front of te hood can't be lowered any more to line up w/the bumper cover, right?
Can it be sanded down to match-up some more?
If so, how thick is the hood?1/4 inch, or so?
Do glass hoods really rattle as much as they say they do?
Should I get some hold down pins?
thanks in advance
Mike
