TransAm Tail-light conversion

I've got a '92 bird with the stock tail lights and was wondering about a blackout kit. A buddy of mine just got pulled over for his and this has given me second thoughts. Personally I love the TransAm tail lights with the grid pattern (a natural blackout almost) and am considering a swap. I know the tail lights will fit, but will the electrical wiring from my old lights mount right up or will I have to rewire? Does anyone have any of these lights in mint condition to sell?

if i where u id go either way. Both are really kool, i pesonally like the blackouts on my car, not many birds around here have them. See sig for pic. The trans am tiallights are really kool. Id recomend them off of a 91/92 trans am. Those are a 2 peice design that fits just the same as the 3 peice. All wires will line up and fit as normal.

Actually the firebid lights wont work really well in the ta tail lights , all you have to is get the rear tail light wiring harness and plug it , they unplug under your rear glove box, area

So the bulbs and sockets don't plug directly in?

The base model firebird and formula have a second set of turn signals. So the Ta's have 4 sockets in each housing, 1 running, 2 shared running and turn signal, and 1 for the reverse lights. The firebird has 3 for the brakes and running and 3 for the turn signals on each side.
