Looks sweet! But, of course you should check it out in person first. Especially, since that pic wasn't taken within the last few months if you live in the north - green grass. Also, you'll want to check the mileage, and see how the owner treated it. If you go for it, welcome to the Third Gen world.

Buy it, buy it , buy it, buy it. You'll love it, trust me. I miss my GTA, it looked just like that one only it was an 87 model with a 350. I'd probably trade my convertible for another chance with a black/gold GTA with a 350. Don't take this buy opinion serious until you look at the car and it meets your approval. Run vin and check digit through the site to make sure it is legit.
Hey Black Bird, when I bought my wrecked convertible, I asked the owner treatment question as a joke and you know what he said, he babied it. He babied it right into a guardrail, and a blown headgasket, and into numerous curbs, light poles, and many other obstacles. If you asked me that question, I'd lie to you straight faced, convincingly I might add. So assume it beaten to death reguardless. And most sellers cover up as much as they can so looking at it may be difficult sometimes.

I didn't mean come straight out and ask how the car was treated. Of course, the guy will say that it was babied. You can assume the treatment with the owner's actions. If you're testing it, and the owner repeatedly tells you to punch it, and acts like it was constantly treated that way, beware. If you ask to have a mechanic check it, and they are hesitant, beware. Also, check to see if the owner warmed it up before you get there. There could be a problem with starting it. There are just a lot of little things that can give you an idea of the care that the car was given.
I know that we all gun it. But, we also know the condition of our cars, and that they are not going to crap out on us if we have a little fun. But, usually at least something is going to have to be fixed on a used car. The owner's actions could tell you if you'll need to spend a lot, or a little. My .02.
Good Driving,
Pat
