Anyone RE-Clearcoat their wheels??

Anyone re-clearcoat after the strip and polish??
worth it to reduce maint on the wifes ride??

I did on a set of iroc rims and it turned out great. I used a spray clearcoat.

get em clear powdercoated after you polish em. or Get some ZOOP SEAL and do em.

I was going to use the top coat on a base clear system, that similar?

I got bare aluminum
repolish with compound and a cloth every 4 or 5 months
shine like mirror !
if you clear coat the wheels you are killing the shine
and the clear coat will crack of fade soon or later
go bare !

Used the topcoat on my 88. My back wheels were pretty decent but the years of brake dust had the fronts looking bad and oxidized. I cleaned them really good with a brillo pad which left them sort of white looking. The clear really brought back the new look. Still looks good two years later.
