Light appearance

my 92 Camaro RS is White and has white paint over the walls around the lights. I think black would look really good on it, like the z-28's black around the light. do you have to buy some kind of panel or can you just paint black on to it? also what do you think of the Headlight Covers for it. Which would be better?

thanks for any info

You can easily scuff down the paint, tape off the area (that you don't want painted) and paint the headlight 'pocket' black,,, there's no magic part to it,, it's just paint

leave your headlight holes white!!!! i hate those black headlight wells, that is the worst thing on the z28s.

Paint 'em BLACK! Scuff the paint like was said earlier and use a semi-gloss trim black out of a spray can. It will look just like the factory did it.

I think that you should leave your "light pockets" white, especially on a RS. I have the same car and i also painted the headlight housing frame white, and i think it looks cool (just my opinion).

cool
yeh, my dad had a 96 Z28 and a 78 Z28. The 96 had panels over the pockets. I havent had the chance to look close up at the 3rd gen black pockets so i wasnt sure. ps: how do you put pictures up on this? and any info on the headlight covers? cant decide if i like them or not

I don't really like the covers. I'm not too crazy about the way they look, not to mention they make it harder to see at night. And also lots of cops WILL bust your ***** abot them.
