Part number
I ordered this part number 10044147 from GM dealer for my 87 GTA. It was suppose to be a black center cap with a gold bird. Problem is that is not near deep enought to cover the hub. The one they sent me is about 1 1/2 inches where my other ones are about double that size. Just wondering if anyone knows the right part number and if anyone had any idea what rim this might fight. My guess is maybe the parts guy transposed the number and put in 78 instead of 87.
Thanks

The part # he got you fits an 87 bird with N83 (custom sport wheels). They're kind of a 5 spoke looking wheel (15X7). It assumes that your wheels have not been changed out for a different year or size (and with cars as old as ours, there's a better than even chance that they have been). Your parts guy can show you line art pictures of what they look like. Hope this helps.

But maybe your guy can cut you a deal or go through GMdirect.com if your willing to wait a few weeks to get it.Hope that helps. check ebay regularly. sometimes that stuff comes up, but it often goes quick when it does.
