new pics of my "sleeper"! *warning, drag race mode*
hey guys, i got the car completely repainted (needs some touch ups in some areas, paint is something i'll probably never be happy about...oh well) and i got the new wheels on it. i hope you guys enjoy! i'll have to get some pics of the "hunting" wheels, which are 14" berli wheels, but those'll have to wait till i can get another few paychecks as they need fresh tires. anyhow, enjoy!

keep your eyes peeled, i've got a video clip, i'm trying to figure out how to put it up right now.

awesome! good to see it all back together. looks great. id say one thing that might make it more "sleeper eske" is to throw on some early berli tailights.

the car looks great! i've always been a fan of SCs and gfxless cars because they are so 'sleeperish'. and man, you have one hell of a sleeper. it sounds great for 'only a 305'. keep it up

i was thinking that same thing last night on my way home while following my buddy in his 84 berli. while i don't have any berli tails, i do have some off an 89 RS that would work just as well. and seein' how my painter didn't take my taillights out
and got overspray all over my 16hour long polish job, i'll be doing up another set of mine and putting those in there till i can get the grids redone. then i'll post fresh pics of the RS tails to see what you guys think. Last edited by mw66nova; Aug 2, 2006 at 07:36 AM.

Your car looks and sounds awesome!! While watching the video I couldn't get over how your car, when given some quick jabs of the throttle, sounds just like my friends 383 stroker!
Great job!

I'm just glad that I don't live anywhere near you because I am almost certain I would at least fall for your sleeper at least once or twice. Great job you did on your car. I unfortunately don't have much of the sleeper look going on for the Formula since everyone in town knows it, but oh well.
I can appreciate the ammount of work you've done with that car, great job. But to be completely honest if I saw that car on the street as it sits in those pictures and the way it sounds on the clip, I'd know something is up. Not being negative but the car is too animal to be considered sleeper in my opinion. I think those other 14's you got for hunting will be a good sleeper effect.

Looks really good man.
Never cared much for the non-ground effects f-bodies until I saw your pics. Might've changed my mind.

My Insperation:
if it weren't for jbenge keeping his car gfx-less, then i would never have thought to build a no gfx car.

that hood screams race car with those fasteners everywhere.
Around here you'd have to have a much quieter exhaust to fool 95% of people into thinking that thing wouldn't move out well.

man the car looks absolutely awesome. the new fronts look sweet! and that hood is just crazy i like that hood twice as much as your cowl. but great looking pics man keep up the good work it really is looking sweet. id have to agree with all the compliments that your car is the best looking no gfx car on the boards imo.
btw matt if you have the originals of those pictures or like a high res shot ill take that first one. that is a great pic.

i was totally wrong about the drag wheels, i guess i had never seen all 4 of them on the car. it looks sweet. car looks a little lower too. the "keep it simple" theme has really worked for the car
i wonder what the earlier style tail lights would look like on the car

Matt,
Thanks for the comments about my car. Your car is amazing, I never thought a sport coupe could get so much attention. Please send me some hi-res pics too. camarof41_383@yahoo.com

sleeper.. or not?
the wheels alone would be enough to make me positive that the car is packing a little something extra under the hood... (nice hood by the way).. if you're going for 'sleeper' i would suggest some wheels that match all the way around with tires to boot.

sean's got it!
the 305 in her is NOT stock by any stretch of the imagination. it's making ~415hp and i have yet to do real tuning on it (may tomorrow?)
for more info on my dual exhaust you can look in the cardomain site in my sig.
car weighs ~2940 w/o me...3200 with me.

OH MY! Not another white, 305, no GFX Camaro.
J/K...Matt, the car looks FANTASTIC. Those Weld wheels are sweet. And what about this exhaust system you mentioned, or is it a "secret"?
OK, "whistles", I get it.

You CAN NOT claim "SLEEPER" anymore. Regression aggression yes but sleeper...you aint got no prayer from anyone. See you at a stoplight someday!
