I was thinking of going with Maaco's premium paint package for about 1200 dollars I believe.
I know their cheapie stuff isn't good quality, but if you pay the higher price you get a premium job well done.
I was just wondering what some of the other guys around the boards were paying?

Well, my dad and I painted the '89 ourselves and total costs was like $450 I think for supplies. Right now the '91 is in the shop getting a touch up job. I'm having the hood and trunk completely stripped to metal, along with a dent pulled out of the hood and 2 on the driver side quarter panel. Then the hood, trunk, driver quarter, and the whole front clip are being repainted. Total cost for this will be $850
The $1200 maaco paint job well be fine there is no sense in paying $3000 or more for a paint job that will be driven daily and will eventually end up getting scratched and chipped, just prep the car yourself as much as u know how remove the tail lights and everything because they wont do that they are just gonna mask, scuff the old paint a little and spray. You may also want to ask them to take more time with the prep it may cost you a little extra but it will be be worth it

I paid $700 for mine, but I also got it from my cousin's father-in-law.
