Looking for a type of bird hood decal, need help!
Hey, I was wondering, have any of you seen something like this?
As in, something with color fillings in the wings and body of the bird? The only birds styled like that (that I have been able to find) are just lines and sort of empty looking, like this.
I know there are plenty of 2nd-gen type decals you can get, and even a few 4th-gen type decals out there too with lots of color, but are there any bird decals out there in the style of these two, except with more color to it? (It would be going on a 3rd-gen bird). I want it big and colorful. Anyone know of any out there? Or a place that would let me customize my own hood decal (that won't cost an arm and a leg?).
Thanks!

If you are looking at using a decal or vinal, I would check with some vinal places in your area. They should be able to make something for you, then you could choose the colors etc....
I myself would just have it painted on, then you wouldn't have to worry about taking a toothbrush to it after waxing, there wouild not be a ridge around the decal, it would look/feel nice and smooth on the hood etc.... Granted it'll be more expensive but....
I don't think any 3rdGens came with a decal similar to teh top, I believe they were all just outlines like the second pic (which is on a 4th Gen hood LOL)

i looked around as well but couldn't find anything either. after seeing what the premade decals cost versus painting them on, i found a custom painter who laid them out by hand. he painted them in all pearls to amtch the ghost flames. after clear and buffing you can hardly feel them.

I'd have it painted on if it were me. Same reasons as mentioned above

i don't know individually how much the paint was. donny painted the car and also did the body work. the graffiix on the hood only raised the price about 500.00. you would be hard pressed to buy decals and have them installed for less.
