bts88iroc said it all! How'd this become a pi$$ing contest?? All Big Mike wanted us to do was to check out a pretty cool movie trailer and give some (positive?) feedback and now we got guys slinging mud. What happened?

Damn- I dident expect a response like this. I just think its a cool movie and some of you might want to watch the clip and check out the movie when it comes out this summer.
Now about the whole rice thing- I respect all cars- doesnt mean i like them or would drive them.But iv meet guys with street legal hondas that would kick my *** and most of you( I know not all of you and some of you think you cars are the fastest out there)so therfore i respect them. I also think 85 percent of fixed up and fast looking honda's and etc on the street have nothing under the hood to back it up, but the 15 percent that does just might kick my *** and your *** so watch out. I think the big thing about people who hate hondas and etc are just stupid or has yet to race a fixed up one and lose( hell if you live my way i know a couple guys who have turbo charged hondas eclipse's and twin turbo charged 3000GT's and Supras that would love to race you ). I personally have crushed every honda and etc iv raced but all of them would fall into that 85 percent. I think a lot of you need to grow up( pretty bad that im saying this since i just turned 20 )( and I dont care how old you are, age doesnt mean your mature ) and i think alot of you need to be more open minded. I know when my friend got his Grand National that it wasant gonna be as fast as he said it was but now with hardely any mods his 3.8L V6 is running mid 12's and id be lucky to hit a low 13 with more mods than him( i knwo its not foriegn but the whole open minded thing is my point )

I agree with Bike Mike, it's all a point of perspective. So who cares if the guy next to you has a mod honda. you should just care about YOUR car. and if the honda guys start bashing your car - just be the bigger man and keep your trap shut. It's basically just personal prefrence, I like the deep-throated bark of a V8, that doesn't mean everyone does or has to. Let them be happy with there modded 4 and 6 cylinder cars, I just look the other way. You should too because we have nice cars. (if it were up to me I'd take the blown hemi just becuase of the looks and sound even if the import could beat it)

well, i sorta agree with dave, then i disagree with dave. for one, i do agree about the turn ur head thing. most of the ricers around here that i know are just stuck up and wont even look at a domestic without laughing, so like dave said, just be the bigger man and who cares. also i agree with u on the sound, there is just a certain thing that a new trans am with a flowmaster has. its almost magical then when that high whinny 4 banger with a rice rocket muffler pulls up and ruined ur music, u just gotta make that exhaust tip even bigger as u blow by them . now the hemi comment...eh im sorta ify on that one. i would DIE for a blown hemi just for the looks and sound, but i dont know if i would pass it up for a modded 4 or 6 banger that looked nice, had the CORRECT stickers on it, and could beat the hemi. sometimes u just gotta pick speed. dont get me wrong, im on ur side on the fight for domestic (sp?) but sometimes u just gotta break.... *duckes for the evil flames*

Today a fairly new modded Eclipse met me at a stop light and he rolled down his window to looked at my tips. He definately heard the new Flowmaster and smiled as he revved his 4 cyl trying to temp me to race... Heck, my car is all stock, (and I'M DAMN PROUD OF IT!!) and I have no intention to race it, but this KID wanted to see what I had to offer SO BAD just from my exhaust note at idle! My point?
Again, when you're respectable, you get respect! There's alot of history behind that V8 exhaust note. He might've whooped my stock a$$, but who cares, even if my car did 12s I don't have to prove S#it to anybody!
My integrity is more important and knowing the heritage of a true American Musclecar is in my driveway is all the f*ck that matters.

Proud newly acquired '91 Formula WS6 305 TPI 700R4, T-Tops, 34.5K documented miles, fresh Flowmaster catback w/chrome tips, Factory black on black all stock - no current engine mods (runs so good I might keep it that way!). Rims are '91 T/A black Diamond Spoke 16x8s. 20% tint & Black Widow Alarm system. future plans: fresh paint job, new 255ZRs all around.
