Stuck...need lots of opinions!! thanks

i had this question a few days ago but no one really replied, i guess cause so many other people ask about it...but if anyone could give me some opinions i'd really appreciate it. 85 trans am...i'm getting it painted very soon and i'm also getting the us body ram air hood, but i have no idea on what color to paint it. i know i should just paint it the color i want it, but its you guys and everyone else that i drive by that are gonna say that car sucks as$ or looks nice as hell! my choices so far are red, steel gray(on some vipers, real high gloss silverish color)blue(what it is now)or maybe a deep yellow to look a little different...please help me decide. thanks a lot!

Well, I haven't got any help for you as far as colors go - the one thing I will say is choose your color for you not "johnny down the street." In the end you'll be happier because who really gives a fuc! what johnny thinks? You're the poor bastard driving a hot pink car everyday.

Be aware you'll pay a bit more to repaint your entire car a different color because everything has to be re-shot. That's why a lot of guys just stick with the original color or a close variant thereof.

I have to agree with Steve on this one. Make yourself happy. If you want to get some ideas there are a couple of posts running right now with pictures of everybodys cars. Of course, I'm partial to blue. LOL

Paint in Dark Metallic Green, with a black stripe that begins with a small screaming chicken on your hood, and slowly splits into two fairly thick stripes by the time it reaches the trunk lid... That would be sweet....

Viper Steel Gray is awesome looking... on a Viper. I dont think it would look good on a bird. I like black, but that wasnt a choice so I'd go with a dark metallic blue or a candy apple red. But you should do what makes YOU happy cause it is YOUR car. Good luck

I don't really like yellow. Check out the post called "Import Camaro" (or something like that) on this board. I really like that purple color. The car is not that great, but, man, that color!

I would paint it red with the gray or silver ground effects. I do like the way the blue and silver looks as well. Also, I think that yellow is not a color that looks good on birds. I do like yellow on camaros though. I have seen pics of a TA painted pearl which kicked a$$. Or even just paint it a double tone gray, with dark gray body, and a lighter gray on the gfx.

i have a yellow trans am (factory color) and i think it looks sweet. I havent seen another factory yellow TA around me yet. If u want a pic ill send one......but the smart thing to do is the origional color. Changes suck *** and to have done right is gonna cost way to much money. Besides do u really want to look under the hood of ur car and have ur firewall be blue when the car is yellow??
