Hi all.
I found this thirdgen site late last year and finally now I am a new member.
All of you guys are wonderful in helping out others. Many thanks from all of us newbies.
I have a question: Is it OK to have Aircraft Remover oversprayed on tires? Or should I dismount the tires from rims?, tape the tires and the painted inner part? Any info would be a great help for me. Thank you

You from manassas va I was there about 5 years ago then joined the military I miss manassas..lol anyway I would completely cover them wheels/rims on both sides to avois the paint remover at all costs..it will eat your tire rubber.

You definately dont want that stuff on your tires, it's pretty strong stuff and will eat at the rubber. When I used it to strip the clear coat from my wheels I just covered the tires in newspaper and taped them and the painted parts off real good and it worked really well. I did'nt use the spray though I used the thick stuff in the can and applied it with a small paint brush.

Besides what they said it does change the color of the tires to brown.

like said before, it is better to buy the stuff in the big can and brush it on, not spray in on.
